September 15th, 2009 delicategenius 5 comments

I caught up with Dugie at Teched AU last week and finally had a chance to talk about his home built arcade machine.

And yes, as expected, all of our childhood memories came rushing back.

More deets from Dugie’s Teched talk.

DG.TV IE8 Webslices @ Ninemsn

May 30th, 2009 delicategenius No comments

Ninemsn has built a whole bunch of Webslices. Meet Andrian and Long these are two of the guys that built them.

One interesting that these guys do is use jQuery to inject the slices into their existing DOM. This gets around the need for major changes to their CMS.

Enjoy.

There a many slices scattered around the Ninemsn site, go ahead go and discover.

DG.TV: Velociroflcoptersaurus

February 3rd, 2009 delicategenius 10 comments

I caught up with Greg Brine, Heather Snodgrass and Iain McDonald from Amnesia Razorfish. Greg and Heather are the proud parents of the now famous Velociroflcoptersaurus SEO battle.

For the unaware, Velociroflcoptersaurus was a term created by Greg and Heather which lead to a whopping 7,000+ Google results in just 6 weeks.

Also congrats to Nick HaC from Sifted Pixels who won the competition which was kick started by @eskimo_sparky from over at Happener.

DG.TV Jonas Follesø and Hege Røkenes

January 17th, 2009 delicategenius No comments

Just before Christmas our favorite Norwegians, Jonas and Hege, left our beloved shores and headed home after a year here in Oz.

I sat with them and recapped the adventures they had while here in Oz.

And yes, for the record, I still hate both of them for having such an adventurous life and showing most of us how life is supposed to be lived!

DG.TV Tim Aidlin and Karsten Januszewski on Oomph and Microformats

November 5th, 2008 delicategenius No comments

Tim and Karsten are the brain parents of Ooomph.

Oomph you quizzically inquire? Oomph is defined as

A Microformats Toolkit is for web developers, designers and users, making it easier to create, consume, and style Microformats. In short, Oomph makes consuming and producing content for the web just a little easier, more efficient, more fun.

You should definitely go and give Ooomph a go as it’s a great implementation of Microformats consumption. And to top it off, it’s written on top of the tres cool jQuery.

Ohh, and in case you didn’t know, Tim and Karsten are also the creators of the famous Flotzam.

At PDC I bumped into Tim Sneath. Tim is the uber windows client evangelist (windows, WPF, Silverlight, ie8 etc).

Tim will be down in Oz next week delivering content as part of the Liberation Day (aka Steve Ballmer’s visit).
